I am so saddened that I found out today about Madea she brought joy to my life when she was at carillon. She was my adopted granny. If I would have know I would have been there to tell her bye. I will keep the family in my prayers and I'm glad to have met ms Mabel she reminded me so much of my grandma. Praying for comfort for you all.

Mabel is now at rest in Our Father's arms. Loved her, loved Mac and loved growing up with Mavis. This too is a brief time apart...may the children and family hold steadfast. Always, Sandy

My sympathy to the family and loved ones. Mrs. McMullen was a great educator, leader and woman. My fondest memories are of her encouraging me to read difficult books and strengthen my scrabble skills. She will be missed.

Mrs. McMullen had a wonderful, kind spirit. She and her late husband welcomed me into their home & family with open arms, and I was honored whenever I was in their presence. I also know that my three boys are very blessed to have spent quality time with their great grandparents.

No matter what kind of day she may have been having, she always greeted me with a smile, a hug, and kind words to brighten my day.

I take solace in the fact that Mr. and Mrs. McMullen are reunited in eternal peace. My thoughts and prayers go out to everyone who were affected by this tremendous loss. "Mabel Jean" was genuinely loved by many, and fond memories of her will be her shining everlasting legacy.

Ms. McMullen was a teacher at my school and my family lived down the street from her for several years. She and my mom became friends and I’m sure she “checked up on” me and my sister as my parents’ eyes and ears while we were at school. She was wonderful person who always encouraged us to study hard and to achieve our goals through education and hard work. Even after we moved to another part of town, and eventually my sister and I left for college and beyond, my mother still kept in touch with her. She will be missed. My heartfelt and sincerest condolences and prayers to the family.

To the Precious McMullen Family & Friends
Our Hearts go out to You on the Loss of Your Precious Loved One. God's Son looked at death in such a Comforting Way. Please, read: John chapter 11 verses 11-14. Yes, God's Son Jesus viewed death as One Sleeping. Yes, a temporary condition. (Daniel chapter 12 verse 2) May You find Some Comfort in what the Most High God has to say concerning death. (Psalms 83:18) Acts 24:15

What an awesome woman we've lost. Mrs. McMullen was my 4th grade teacher (I'm 40 now) but words can't express the impact her life had on so many children. I remember her & her husband would take any child, that had permission, bowling. He would pile us in the back of his truck. I spent my entire summer with her and her husband, as if I were their own. I don't know whether she knew the turmoil that was going on in my own home at the time but I know she gave me a moment of peace, to just be a kid. She taught me how to crotchet. She will be dearly missed.
