Words cannot express how I felt about Kenneth. His presence and his passion were simply indescribable. We had so many conversations that keep replaying in my head. So many laughs. So many memories. Tears. Ken Ken, you were ONE of a kind. One in a million. I pray that you continue to watch over me now as you did here on Earth. I know how proud you wanted to make your family and I can reassure you, that you've done that. Keep resting, Angel. As for the Newsome family... You're all in my thoughts and prayers. 💙

To Reverend & Mrs. Kenneth Newsome & Family:
Please accept my most sincere sympathy and condolences on the loss of your loved one - namely, Kenneth Newsome.
I had the privilege of serving as his Financial Aid Advisor at NC Wesleyan College, and our interactions are ones that shall not be forgotten, as Kenneth was very vibrant, and he oftentimes had a smile on his face.
Certainly, I know that your hearts are heavy, but in times like these, I bid you to continue to look unto the hills from whence cometh your help, knowing that your help cometh from the Lord.
Please know that you shall continue to be in my thoughts and prayers in the days, weeks, months, and even years to come, as you continue to reflect upon the life and the legacy of your son, Kenneth!

As many others, my heart was likewise saddened to hear of the untimely death of Kenneth Newsome. He was always a delightful young man, and I am honored to have had the opportunity to watch his growth at Anne Chesnutt Middle School. He will definitely be missed by all who knew him. My prayers are for and with his family during this time. Remember...Earth has not sorrow, that heaven can't heal! Praying for your strength (Ephesians 6:18)

Dear Newsome Family, please know how much all of us at NC Wesleyan College are thinking of you and praying for you. We were so saddened by the news, but please know that Kenny was loved by everyone at Wesleyan and especially our athletes. He was a great football player, but added much more than physical talents to the team. His memory will be forever written in hearts of coaches, players and staff here at Wesleyan. May you find comfort in knowing he is resting in the everlasting arms of our Lord now and he is just fine.......and I am sure our Master said "well done" when he entered the gates. Though I never had Kenny in class at NCWC, I knew of him and saw him often brightening up our campus with his smile and competing like a champion on the football field.
