On April 11, 1953 Larry Devon Rouse was born the seventh child to James and Queenie Rouse. He was born in Cumberland, County NC and attended Armstrong Senior High.
He spent a great deal of his life in Dallas, Texas. Dallas is where he would consider home for more than 25 years. While in Texas Larry worked as a maintenance engineer until his return to Fayetteville. Upon arrival back to NC, Larry spent some time living in Durham with family. All that knew Larry knew that he was not one to sit idle. While there he worked and used his scooter as his mode of transportation. He didn’t like to drive unless it was really necessary. Larry was known as a “Jack of Trades.” He was very creative and talented with his hands. People would often purchase his crafts. Everyone who met Larry would be charmed by his smile and sparkle in his eyes. He enjoyed life. He was your go to Man. Go for a ride Man, listen to you complain Man. While never complaining. His Famous words were Babaaa and Already always finishing with a chuckle. Larry will be forever missed. He leaves behind brothers, Ezell, Nathaniel, Jerome and Adolphus Rouse. He is also survived by his only sister Jeanette Riddle. He leaves behind a host of Nieces, Nephews, Aunts and Uncles and cousins. Larry follows his parents James and Queenie Rouse and brothers, Michael and James in passing. The family would like to thank Tina Kidd for her love and support of Larry as if he were her natural father. Freddy Biggs for years of lasting friendship right to the end.
