Richard Decorris Watson

Retired Army CW5 Richard Decorris Watson, age 68 of 639 Welsh Place Fayetteville, NC departed this life on September 20th, 2016.

Funeral service will be held on Tuesday September 27th, 2016 at 12:00 PM in Simon Temple A.M.E. Zion Church located at 5760 Yadkin Rd Fayetteville, NC. Burial: Sandhills State Veterans Cemetery.

He leaves to cherish in his memory his wife; Janice Joyner-Watson, children, Lisa M. Watson, Sonja N. Watson, Pilar Joyner. He was preceded in death by one daughter, Rochelle D. Watson; brother, Larry White, sister, Linda Lewis, five grandchildren Tawana C. Watson, Kennisha D. McKinnon, Raqwan D. Watson, Kira A. Thompson and Ravyn N. Hill, and two great grandchildren, Jeremiah M. Davis and Dorian J. Green Jr.

There will be a viewing on Monday from 2:00 PM to 7:00 PM in the Wiseman Mortuary Chapel; the family will receive friends from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests that monetary gifts be sent directly to them.
