Mrs. Mattie Catherine Underwood Murphy, age 73 of 2235 Memory Street Fayetteville NC departed this life on September 20th,2016.

Funeral services will be held on Saturday September 24th at 10:00 AM in the Agape Ministries Church 868 Amye Street Fayetteville. Entombment: Cumberland Memorial Gardens and Mausoleums.

She leaves to cherish her memories her loving and faithful husband, Charlie Murphy of the home; one son, Charles (Amy) Murphy of Fayetteville, NC; one daughter, Cynthia (William) Blackwell of Lawton, OK; eight grandchildren, Chelsea Murphy, Darrin Murray, Christiana Murray, Justin Webber-Blackwell, Joshua Webber-Blackwell, Jared Webber-Blackwell, Jordan Blackwell, Jace Blackwell; five sisters, Delois Conley of Fayetteville, NC, Dorothy (Charles) Burrell of Waycross, NC, Bertha Underwood of Washington, DC, Sadie Clement and Mary (Coleman) Hill both of Winston-Salem, NC; special niece, Gwenola (Robert) Brown of Kernersville, NC; one brother, Kenneth W. Underwood of Winston-Salem, NC.

There will be a viewing on Friday from 2:00 PM to 7:00 PM at Wiseman Mortuary.
